Southland Sharks (NBL) landed 26-year old American 203cm forward Josh Cunningham (college: Dayton). It is actually his comeback to Sharks as he has played here before. Cunningham moved there from BCM U FC Arges Pitesti in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 28 games he averaged 10.4ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.1apg last season. The last summer he played at Red Scare in U.S. semi-pro league TBT where in 5 games he had 4.4ppg and 6.0rpg.
He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Cunningham has played previously professionally in Bosnia (Borac WWin Banja Luka), Holland and NBA G League (Westchester Knicks).
He was voted to MVC All-Freshman Team back in 2015.
Cunningham graduated from University of Dayton in 2019 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball. He played also for Bradley University for one year.
